John Goto

John Goto was born in 1949 Stockport, England. He is a British artist best known for his photo-digital artworks, notably coming to wider attention with the 'High Summer' section of his Ukadia series of pictures. Goto has worked with historical. social and political subjects throughout his career.
John Goto began using computers in his work in the early 90's with a series made in Russia entitled 'The Commissar of Space'. Here are some of my favorite examples of John Goto's artwork:

<-- I like the way that John Goto has put this image together he has created it by using all of the different objects from magazine scans and photographs that he has taken to collage the whole image together to make it look as though its a real image he has taken.

John Goto creates his images as though he is telling some sort of story, although you can tell that most of his images have been photoshopped each image that he creates are also very bright and stand out as he uses contrasting images with each other and collages them all together.
Here is some more artwork examples from John Goto:

To make my Fantasy Landscape image the first thing i did was take photos of two different places (one of a field and one of a bridge) and opened them up into photoshop.
I then selected the polygonal lasso tool and highlighted around the grass i then went to Edit>Copy.
I then opened up the second of the bridge again and went to Edit>Paste.
I moved the area of grass onto the right section of the bridge and rubbed out around the edges to make the grass look like it was on the path of the concrete bridge.
I did the same steps as i did earlier for this part but i moved the piece of grass onto a different part of the bridge to make sure it looked like it was the ground.
I then changed the levels for the picture. Here is my final image:

Duane Michals

Duane Michals is an American Photographer born February 18th 1932. Michals' work makes innovative use of photo-sequences, often incorporating text to examine emotion and philosophy.
Though he has not been involved in gay civil rights, his photography has addressed gay themes. By doing this Duane has influenced other photographers such as: David Levinthal and Fracesca Woodman.
Duane Michals is noted for two innovations in artistic photography developed in the 1960's and 1970's. First he told a story through a series of photos as in his 1970 book sequences.
Here are some examples of his sequence work:

Second he hand-wrote text near his Photographs, thereby giving information that the image itself could not convey.
Here are some examples of his handwritten information:

Transform

I uploaded the image into photoshop^^
I then went to Edit>Transform>Warp.
I experimented by changing the way the image looked through a grid that appeared.
This is my final outcome:

Adding Text

I opened the picture i was using in photoshop^^
I changed the brightness and contrast of the photo first.
I then clicked the text tool:
I then changed the font the size and colour of the text to match the photo appropriately. I found a place where the text would look good and clicked ok.
Here is my final outcome:

Adding Colour

I opened the picture i was using in photoshop^^ i then made a new layer by going to Layer>New
Layer. I changed the colour to a sea blue clicked on the paint tool:
changed he brush sizes to make it an appropriate size zoomed in and outlined her eyes with the colour blue.
After i had finished outlining her eyes i changed the Opacity to 84% and changed the settings to Overlay.
This was my final image:

Black and White mixed with Colour

I first opened up the photo i was going to use in photoshop.
I duplicated the layer then changed the top layer to desaturate which made the image black and white. I then clicked on the eraser tool:  and erased over the flower to make the colour appear fro, the original photo.
This is my final outcome:

Boarder

Firstly i uploaded the image that i was going to use which was this one^^
I then picked a colour from the right hand side of the tool bar, i chose the colour black because i thought it would work well with this black and white photo.
I then made a new layer by going to Layer>New Layer. I selected the brush tool and held down the shift key which enabled me to draw a straight line around the edge of the picture without going out of the lines. I drew around the edges to get this:
I then went to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur which allowed me to blur the edges of the boarder to give it a better effect.
Here is my final outcome:
